Sailing the Seas of the Caribbean

In February, 2010, A group of 10 from Saddleback Church went on a PEACE Trip to St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Granada Islands in the Caribbean, they sailed on a 41 foot catamaran. A total of about 150 miles, 3 different island nations, where the people, culture and terrain were all so different. They learned that the Caribbean Island is the 2nd highest in HIV aids pandemic after Africa. The team worked with local churches and met the island people and were so blessed. They visited a local church in Castries, St Lucia, were the team gave some of the BURP cloths. Others were given to a lady they met named Eleanor who sent this letter to the team.

"I will be visiting one of our poorest villages called "Belile" and will share your love there. I will also give a few to some Teen Moms. I have been asked to share at a two day retreat held for Teen Moms so Will share some of your Baby Berp Ministry goodies with them too. Thank you very much.
I thank God for every one of you and hope you will come again. I love you all so much and indeed I feel like your family."

The locals like to say "Grenada is the land of spice, where everything is nice in Jesus Christ"

Local Teens Give Back

Two adorable Girl Scouts who last month learned how to sew BURP cloths, took their new found skill and on their own purchased diapers, fabric and created beautiful BURP cloths for the BURP Ministry.

Thank you Heather and Sarah, the BURP cloths are not only beautiful but beautifully sewn. The new moms that will receive these will be so delighted to know you made them.

We hope you will keep on sewing and will join us again for another sewing event.
Blessings to you both for your unselfish act of kindness.

BURP reaches out

The BURP Ministry had the honor of donating Burp Cloths to a local and international church in February, 2010.

We also had the pleasure of having Pastor Alejandro from Mendoza, Argentina, over for dinner while he was here in the States. He shared about his church and their needs and was happy to take BURP cloths home to give to the new moms and to their local orphanage.

Pastor Juan and his wife Carmen from Santa Ana, CA, were delighted to take burp cloths back to their church family. Pastor Juan shared that the mom's had tears in their eyes, they were so happy to receive them.

Such a simple expression of brotherly love, a simple BURP cloth was all it took to blend continents together, that is what it is all about!

1Peter 1:22 "So that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart."
